Good luck to all our members with the upcoming grading examinations. Justine is sitting her exams for her 4th Dan on 21 November, at the same time when David does his 2nd Dan. The junior kyu grades are doing their tests during the first week of December, and the blue belts are doing theirs on 5 December. Good luck to all.
Competitions have been destroyed by COVID in 2020. Now there is a last chance to make your mark on the 2020 competition tatami. The Auckland Area Open is happening on Saturday 7 November at Massey University in Albany.
For most, it will be the only competition for the year – Let’s make it a good one!!!More information to come.
During the school holidays, our club will have training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All players under 14 will train from 5:45 to 6:45. Older players will train from 7 to 8.
We are back to training under Level 2, with a few adjustments and exceptions.
The central dojo class times are as usual. No parents allowed inside during training to limit the numbers. Nobody should be training if unwell. Classes starting at 5 and 6 pm, will finish 15 minutes earlier than usual, to limit contact during the change-over.
Sherwood school class at normal times. Glamorgan school class not happening at school this week. Stanmore Bay school class split in two groups. Parents to be advised of changes by email.
Good to be back.
Sadly, the South Island Championships in Christchurch had just become another COVID-19 victim. It was cancelled by the organisers. Good luck with getting your credits granted by the airlines. Sad times indeed.

This event is another possible victim of COVID-19. Let’s hope it can go ahead as we have about 30 people booked and ready to compete in Christchurch.
First competition of the year is in Palmerston North on 6/7 March. Details are on the notice board in the dojo. It will be published here as well soon. If you train, you will know the details. If not, get to training.
